Can't recommend the "Chimp" enough
This a fantastic durable toy in which the sound will outlast the toy (at least in my dog's experience). This is the 4th of this chimp toy that I have bought my Labrador over a 3/4 year period (the last one having been lost when moving). She is utterly devoted to it, taking it literally every where with her. They have only had to be replaced when the material eventually wore out through enthusiastic carrying and cuddling. My dog can't recommend it enough.
Puppy loves him - drives us nuts!
First things first, I didn't check the product dimensions before purchasing and when it arrived it was a lot smaller than expected. However, that's my fault and shouldn't detract from the overall score.
It's a great little toy and my retriever pads around with it quite happily until...the monkey noise starts. I can only describe the sound a very good sample of a monkey either in distress or perhaps in the throws of courtship! It's loud and exciting to our pup but drives the family nuts as you conversations have to stop when it occurs!
Monkey then gets subjected to a onslaught of teeth and paws (all very playful by the way) but has impressively managed to survive so far (about a week or so).
Ultimately, we're kind of hoping he kills it so it can be disposed of but from our 16 week old pups perspective, it's the best thing since sliced liver!
Chimp is a winner
Bought a couple of months ago for a border collie who really tests the strength of all her toys. She absolutely loves this chimp and after weeks of play it looks loved. It's proving to be safe and more hardy than you might expect for a soft toy. It's still chattering too! Value for money considering the fun it's brought!
