Really not worth it.
I bought this reasoning that the bag would be crammed to bursting to contain the full 14 litres of multch it claims to. It didn't, it was just a normal 6 litre bag of the stuff and as such really wasn't worth it. Even if you do as I did and spend 10 minutes uncrumpling it you just end up with a thin layer of it at the bottom of a not very large (100 x 50cm) cage. One bag, one week's bedding for rabbits.
Misleading
I love the Carefresh product as I use it all the time for my hamster Punk. She used to scratch herself all the time when I used another brand and since switching to this she has been much happier and the scratching has stopped.
The problem I have with this was I paid for a 14litre bag only to find it was the 6litre bag which holds a compressed product of 14litres and not a different product. It's the same thing! Very misleading!!! And it cost more than the usual price for a 6litre bag. Not Impressed!!!
Really decent bedding
The traditional pine shavings aren't good for rats so I tried this and another bedding that I gave a well-deserved one star. This stuff here should get 4.5 stars... I't not exactly the best bedding possible, but close to it.
It is made of wood pulp so it's greener that paper shavings it's also much better at absorbing liquids and odours. Makes easy to keep the cage fresh and clean. Might not look very nice (beigy-grey lumps) but it does what it's supposed to and does it well.
