I'm not going to lie, I bought this for my benefit rather than my dogs! I was in two minds about buying this, seeing as it is JUST a SOFT toy with a squeaky. Basically VERY easy for my 16 Month old Basset Hound to rip apart, which he LOVES doing!!! So I did think it would be more ideal for a puppy. But so far so good! Scully has had it constantly in his mouth, squeaking it for the past week & the poor little defenseless meerkat is not at all damaged! A bit wet & looks more like a drowned rat at points but is still in good nick. Squeaky it still working, not punctured! But most importantly..... My Basset LOVES IT! It is his favorite toy! But the only thing I would say, which most dog owners would agree.... Supervision is vital with this toy. So the little meerkat gets a break from Scully's gob when I go out. But apart from that it is a very cute & fun toy for a pooch, but don't expect it to last.
