I really like the look of these boots and the nice soft elasticated cuffs. However, I have three problems with trying to use the boots on my Dobermann. Although I measured as per instructions - the boots are really too small. I think it would have been better to have included the dogs claws in the measurements - but the instructions say not to do this. Dobermanns do have hooky feet and long claws. Secondly - they do not stay on very well - particularly the back ones come off really quickly. Thirdly the velcro fastener is strangely round the feet rather than round the pastern/leg - and to pull the velcro tight enough on my dog's feet squashes her toes and she doesn't like it. Maybe they work better on other types of dog - but for my Dobermann they are unusable.
