I got this for my beagle. I have VW Golf and it fits in there perfectly although it does obscure the rear window slightly because of it's height. My dog fits in there fine when she's actually in but the biggest problem is that because of the sliding doors the entrance is not that big, certainly not really big enough for the size of dog the size of the crate could take. I ended up sending mine back as for me, loosing my boot for something that wasn't completely right was too big a sacrifice, but if your boot is bigger than a golfs and your dog is smaller than a beagle this will do just fine.
Used for 2 Jack Russells
The crate is used in our Kia Cee'd estate, however it also fitted in my daughter's old N reg Fiesta.
It doesn't move about in the boot like a previous crate did.
Although the crate's sliding doors are quite high up, my dogs have no trouble hopping into it.
The compartments on the top hold quite a bit such as treats, spare leads, wipes, poo bags and more!
My dogs have plenty of space to get themselves comfy. The crate is also used as their bed when we are away on holiday.
They sleep together, though the divider (which is not included with the crate) would separate 2 dogs if it was necessary.
Quality Product.
I bought this unseen for our labrador X puppy. It arrived quickly, was easy to put together & is sturdy & well made. As she has grown it is getting a little small, but as long as the journey is not too long she is happy to curl up. She certainly jumps inside without any trouble.
The crate is quite tall, I don't have a problem in my 4x4, but in my husband's small estate it obscures the rear view a little. Having the top sloping in means it fits easier, missing the rear window & the back of the seats. When we visit the in-laws it is used as her bed (with the sliding door open).
Highly recommended, but if you have a large dog, measure your car to see if you can accommodate the larger size.
