I have a dog that looks remarkably (exactly) like the one in the photo advertising this product and was thus perhaps too easily persuaded that the towel would fit round him as in the photo. I have tried rubbing the dog down using this towel and I was as dirty as the dog after a very short time due to the thin-ness of the material and the size! I must say that I find it much more practical to take an old "proper" towel from home when we go out anywhere messy. It would probably be fine for a much smaller dog!
