I bought this in desperation! I had recently adopted a 'rescue' cat who had been ill treated in her previous home and, although only 18 months old, had no idea how to play. I tried everything I could think of from paper balls to catnip mice, all to no avail. Then I saw this and decided to give it a try. She absolutely loves it and will play for hours chasing it all over the place. I now have a very happy cat - so send you my heartfelt thanks from both of us !!

I bought this toy for my senior cat who is a 14 year-old-girl, but sadly she has refused to show any real interest in it despite my numerous attempts to get her engaged in chasing the light dot....
The lazer beam dot generated by the toy is bright and very clear, so I can't fault the toy itself. However, after dabbing a few times with her paw at the dot and quickly realising she can't actually pin it down, my cat would stop watching the dot and instead start watch my hand holding the toy, hence marking that she "knows" how the thing works and that it's a bit of a scam, so to speak... :-)
I have to conclude she's simply too old and life-experienced to enjoy this type of playing - perhaps a toy better suited for younger and more "gullible" kitties?
