Great value product
Great Value product, works perfectly, i had a problem with collar not working right after few months, but when i contacted company, they were so obliging and replaced the collar within a few days of me contacting them. Excellent customer service and excellent value product.
Works Great but is hard work to install
This unit presents great value for money and is very effective. The unit has alarms for broken cables and low batteries. It comes with everything needed to install.
Be prepared to spend a weekend running the cable around the perimeter in the form of a loop. Digging into the ground a couple of inches. We used a lawn edger which speeded up somewhat.
The wire is very, very thin and you worry if it is broken before completing installation.
However, the unit works well. Our dog was easily trained and now avoids going through our hedge, even if he is not wearing the collar.
One training trick not mentioned in the instructions that we found beneficial was to mask off the electrical contacts on the collar. That way, only the buzzer sounded, with no electric shock. By using this method, plus training via the perimeter 'flags' (bad flag!!), our dog was prepared not to cross the line! (and did not suffer any correction either)

Product does not work
We purchased this item, and it arrived about 3 weeks after. The dog has been getting out and causing lots of mischief in the villiage. I bought on the strength of 3 good reviews on here. Basically this in ground system doesn't work. We have a large spaniel. Unless the collar is an inch from the wire, there is no beep and no shock. The dog just trots over the top of the wire as his neck is a good foot above the wire. It doesn't work. We tried everything, reducing the distance the wire runs to a minimum, using a better wire we purchased seperately, cranking the power up to max. 3 days of working on it and it just doesn't work. Very disappointed. I really wouldn't recommend this product. Other people have electric pet fences that seem to work, we shall have to go back to the drawing board and start researching again.
