This coat was a disappointment to me due to the reflective beading around it being of extremely poor quality. It is made of plastic, threaded unevenly into the coat edge, all over. This makes the whole hem rather hard and where the beading sticks out in several places, rough. As the coat extends underneath to provide chest protection, its harsh edge is close to dog's tender parts. Apart from letting down the quality of an otherwise fine coat, I think this would cause discomfort, even chafing.*
Because of this I would not keep this coat and returned it. Shame, as the fabric is good, colour appealing and for me the 18 inch size is spot on for a tall miniature who usually comes between standard sizes.
Another point is that the description does not make it clear that this coat is not wrap-around but must go on over dog's face, snugly - may not suit every one.

Waterproof Dog Coat
My order arrived well within the advised due date of December 4th. It was well packed and it is just perfect for the job. I have a little Parsons Russell and his hair is very short making him susceptible to cold winds. His new waterproof coat is lovely and warm for him. Normally, he hates to have anything on him and I was concerned that the elastic that goes round his hind legs would annoy him. It doesn't and he's more than happy to let me put it on him. It's great to know he's snug and warm. A fab service from a great company. Thank you so much.
