Bought this in anticipation of a visit to the beach as this is the first real Summer we have had with our dog (just over a year old) she feels heat and cold in equal measure so thought we would give this a go. So glad we did. The colour is a bit garish but who cares, it works a dream. It feels just like a chamois leather when damp. Easy to fit, well made and most of all it did the job. We were on the beach - very sunny for 4 hours and she didn't pant once. Cool as a cucumber. She got used to it very quickly and it is lightweight. Couldn't recommend it more highly and looking at other products it seems well priced.

I bought this coat for my elderly golden retriever, she really suffers in the hot weather and as she's gotten older has been less able to enjoy her walks in the hotter months. She also has a heart condition, and the extra strain from the heat wasn't helping.
This coat is amazing! I wasn't sure how well it would work but thought I'd give it a try, and it's well surpassed any expectations I had.
The coat has kept her at a nice comfortable temperature; no more heavy panting or wanting to lay in every shady patch she sees. She's been much more relaxed on her walks, more energetic and able to enjoy herself.
Even after being out sunbathing on the beach for three hours the coat had not dried out and she was very happy.
The coat itself is lovely, it's amazing how soft it feels when damp. It took a few tries to find how much to ring it out, at first we rang it out too much and it dried out quicker, but we soon found what worked best. It folds up nice and small...

These are amazing. At first you Carnt believe they will work. Rock hard chammy leather feel. Once wet very soft and really do work. I have black labs. On the down side be prepared to people to comment! It's a hot day do they need coats?? Until you politely educate them. Oh and lots of filthy looks and I've even had horns honked at me... On the positive side my dogs get to enjoy running around as normal. Worth every penny!

The cool Dog Cooling coat is a fantastic new products designed to make those summer days a bit more comfortable for our furry canine friends.
This water activated coat is a great way to help keep dogs cool yet it is still lightweight and soft making it comfortable for the dog to wear. It provides coolness without making your dog damp or wet. So how does it work?
Put the cool coat into water for a few minutes to make it really wet then lift it out and squeeze away all the excess water until the coat feels cool but not wet. The coat will now retain the moisture within it until it evaporates away, thus leaving your dog dry.
The coat can now go on your dog where it will slowly be warmed by the sun and the moisture from the coat will start to evaporate. As this happens heat is transferred away from your dog so he will feel much cooler than if he was not wearing a cool coat.
Eventually the coat will start to dry out and stiffen (a bit like a car chamois) but once it is put back into water it will work again just the same as before.
The Prestige cool dog coat is re-usable time and time again. When not in use simply leave it to fully dry before storing away. A slightly dirty cool coat can be wiped clean, a very dirty one can be machine washed.
Please note that even whilst wearing a cool coat dogs should NEVER be left in cars in hot weather.
