I am no inventor, but how's about version that has a claw on the inside of the funnel that you claw and pick up the poop, then push down, the elastic band goes, then you pick up the poop in the bag.

Excellent Product
Been using it for a few weeks now, works well with standard poop bags (plenty on amazon for sale) especialy with the ones with the tie handles as the band keeps the bag in place as you tie it up. very robust our lab has knocked it off the side in attempts to get at her treats etc. works well on all surfaces even on small stones. a simple idea that just works, now you cant beat that combination, only thing thats a negative is the long strap that comes with it has poopsta writtain onit and next door kid wont take our dog out any more as other kids are calling him poopsta because we went out with it over his shoulder. which in one sence is quite funny but mabe not for him. (the strap can be turned inside out so you cant see the name)
