I just want to say that we have had our red Flexi2 Classic lead for 9 years - it's as old as our cocker spaniel and in equally fit condition! I would recommend this to anyone. But then it was made in Germany...

I bought two of these over a year ago for my two dogs, a pointer and a terrier, and a year later the leads still work perfectly. They're moulded in smooth, easy to hold black plastic with well-built retractable leashes and easy to use buttons so you can walk them at the best distance for you without them going too far ahead, as well as having a larger roam in wider areas (though I tend to let them off the leads when we get to the park).

The clips and the leads themselves work fine and are well made and compared to cheaper versions of leads I've used in the past where the leads jam or the buttons break or the handles fall apart, these are definitely the best leads I've ever used, and continue to use a year down the line. They are still intact and work superbly after being used on two exuberant, strong dogs. Excellent value for money, excellent product.

*Update 28 December 2012: 2 years later and they're still holding up with no problems. Excellent product!
