I bought this carrier to replace an older, much larger one. It accommodates a 4.5kg cat with enough room to turn around on trips to the vet.
Visually, it's a very attractive design, and was even complimented by the vet.
When not in use, the bottom nests upside down into the top for easier storage.
The door is good and solid with a vertically sprung catch that locks really positively.
The plastic isn't the thickest, and flexes a little while you fix the top half to the bottom, but once they're together, it's solid. The two halves are secured by long catches on each side and the back, and small ones each side of the door. I'd recommend flipping it upside down after clipping it shut to make sure it's all correctly secured.
The hatches in the top are nice for reaching in to stroke your pet reassuringly if that's something that helps them. If sufficiently motivated, a slimmish cat might be able to escape though one after you open it, but they can...
Fabulous carrier
Ive had my old cat box for many years and wanted a more modern funky one and bought this catbox from another website not amazon..The low rate star review from another buyer is a bit unfair but I can see why people dont realise where the treat tray is as I myself thought it was missing at first as you dont get told its under the flap at the back of the box, the 1st flap is so you can pet your animal and the smaller flap has the little treat tray in....I must say Its a pleasure to use to take the cat to the vets as its such a nice looking carrier .The Fastening is easy too, as you pull it up and its springy to open and close , its much less faffy than my old catbox...compared to the prices that the vets charge for boxes -these are great value !
Lovely little cat carrier.
It is a reasonable size for an average cat or very small dog.
Not brilliant quality, but adequate for the job.
I am happy with it and it is a good price.
