This bowl worked a treat with my golden retriever puppy. He was a terrible bolter with his food when he first came to us. We have two setters so it may be because of the others. I started feeding him his breakfast from this bowl and although I could see his frustration at not being able to eat to quickly, it definitely worked. I now don't actually use it because he is 7 months old and now eats from a raised feeding station. He does not bolt his food any longer. I would highly recommend it for teaching a lesson.
Does the trick
I've thought about getting a bowl like this for my dog for sometime as he is a terrible gulper and can sometimes bring his whole meal back up so after reading up on a couple of different bowls I decided on the TX Large. Have to admit the first feeding that there wasn't a huge amount of difference in his speed of his eating, but on using it a second time there was a marked difference in the time it took him to eat his meal so it is certainly working, now I will just keep an eye on him to see if it has really made a difference with him bringing his meals back up, but so far I would say it is working.
I didn't give this 5 stars just due to the fact that the bowl isn't totally non-slip and my dog still manages to knock it about a bit, but saying that the rubber on the bottom of the bowl does stop any scratches or chips on the floor.
I bought the bowl through the seller Scot-Petshop Ltd and would just like to comment on how quick the dispatch and delivery was.
