Not as good as we hoped!
We bought this item based on a review that stated it was the best of a bad bunch where toys for large dogs were concerned. Wrong - our dog is not destructive with toys but loves ones that squeak. Within 2 days one foot had been chewed off and the squeak didn't any more. When we opened it up to find out what had happened we found that the squeaker was a very small tube encased in foam and a plastic bag held on by an elastic band. When biting down to make the thing squeak clearly Ziggy's teeth had punctured the bad making the squeaker useless. We performed an 'operation' to make Sammy squeak again and so far it has been successful - but for how long? Can anyone tell me why toys supposedly made for large dogs (with large teeth) are so flimsy and frequently badly made - my own sewing holds togehter much better than most of the sewing on these toys!! We've found that generally soft toys made for small children stand up to a large dog much better than dog toys!!
Where's the Squirrel, Ruby?
This is a really strong, realistic looking Squirrel dog toy. Our labradoodle Ruby, loves it. She spends most of her time outdoors looking for a squirrel, so to have one in the house that hasn't fallen to bits within about 10 minutes, has been a real hit.
