Danger !- I bought one of these a few months ago, and it has been fine up until last week when I checked it as I could smell burning. i like this pad, it has been working perfectly so far. At the beginning it doesn't seem that is going to warm up enough but it just take time. My only comment would be the manufacturer doesn't warn you about the need of an adapter (the plug is not British standard). Fortunately I had one at home so no problem but if you don't have one, it means you will need to expend a few extra pounds buying one. I think it is just fair that the manufacturer should let you know about this in advance.

When i fist plugged it in i didnt feel it would generate much heat, but once my little dog lay down on it then it generated the perfect amount of heat to keep him snuggly warm at night .
