Very effective at reflecting heat
I purchased a Flectabed to place inside my semi-feral cat's outdoor shelter to help keep him warm in winter. I also tested it myself by standing on it with bare feet and within seconds I could feel the heat reflected back to me. It seems to be a very effective product at reflecting heat back onto the cat. It doesn't crinkle like similar products which it good as some cats don't like that noise and it doesn't appear to get damp which can happen with other material type bedding in outdoor shelters.I would recommend adding lots of straw and a heat pad as well as cats do like to snuggle into things to keep warm but all in all a very good product. Or a Flectabed with sides so that the cat can snuggle inside would be even better!
