I would not recommend this at all.
I've had this for about a month and have tried lot of things to try to stop my cat helping herself.
She is able to put her paw into the nozzle where it dispenses & can feed herself whenever she wants.
I also have the Le bistro model which is much better and doesnt allow this to happen.
The clock looses time every day & trying to make them both work together is impossible.
Its not the simplest thing ive ever had to programme but thats maybe just me.
Would not recommend it, will be buying another Le Bistro model to replace this one.
Unimpressed
We bought three of these for our three cats.
We thought that we would be able to synchronise the digital clocks so that they would come on together, and each cat could have one each.
The clocks on these machines are a joke. Two of them loose 20 seconds per day, while the third gains 15 seconds per day, so after 1 day, one came on more than 30 seconds before the other two, then on the second day the first one was more than a minute ahead of the other two.
Once they have dispensed the food, our cats then spend hours prodding and poking at the machines in an attempt to get them to drop some more food.
They are quite successful at this, with a bit of effort the machines can be coaxed to release more food, which encourages the cats to continue with their efforts.
The additional food that they coax out of the machine however simply comes off the next feed, which means that when the next feed comes around - the machines dispense very little, and the cats then begin...
Excellent product
Although I had to return the first one I had as there was a fault with the LCD display. I am soooooo happy with this product!!
My cat has to have a special diet and certain amounts 3 times a day this item is perfect for feeding him. I bought this as I was going away for the weekend with no one to feed him. I am now using it as a daily feeder for him.
He took to it straight away and recognises that the noise of the hopper is feeding time!!
Would recommend this to anyone!!
