I saw mixed reviews about this item before buying it for my cat, but noted that the low rated ones talked about its being too big for cats/their cat. My 1yr old tom already has a snake that he LOVES - although these days it's little more than a stinky rag :-/ So I was fairly sure he'd be able to take this on. Sure enough it has been a big hit. It has a pole handle at one end which makes it easy to play with (drag, shake, pull or roll along the floor) and my cat loves the feathers at the head end. It's meant to be catnip infused. I'm sure it is but I can't smell it and my cat doesn't react to it as he would usually react to catnip - he doesn't chew this toy.
