confusion

miracle collar
After trying for 18 months to train our beagle to come back, without any success I bought this collar as a last resort. It is amazing, she is like a new dog! She used to run off into the distance, completely ignoring my whistle and only eventually letting us catch her after about an hour of chasing around after her! Now she usually stays within sight, comes back to my whistle, occasionally I beep the collar or have to use the vibrate setting and she comes straight back. only very occasionally have I had to use the shock setting (which is only set quite low anyway). Now she is having such fun running around off the lead and playing with other dogs! It is waterproof too, she is always in the lake. I would recommend this collar to anyone with a very difficult to train dog. The seller has been great too, giving advice over the phone when I couldn't follow the instructions and repairing the receiver very quickly when it stopped working.
waste of money
We purchased this after looking at similar devices. We went for the more expensive one thinking it would be better. Firstly it is very hard to set up it took us hours. The instructions are useless. We eventually set the hand set to the collar and put the collar on our dog to test it. We used the buzz system. She responded to the collar and knew it was on her. We used it to some success she would sit and stay lay down and stay and wait. However when we went out and let her off her lead she picked up a badger track and ran off sniffing we buzzed her to come back but she continued running . Eventually we put the shock on to get her back but the collar did not respond. Back home we took it off to check it the shock does not work. We can only get the buzzer to buzz, but this now is also very temperamental. The whole system only works with a minimum distance of 50 cm so when the dog is on her lead you cannot use the collar. This product is definitely not worth the
