The Bichon Frisé - French for "curly white lap dog". Descended from the Water Spaniel and the Standard Poodle. Although this breed is not considered a retriever or water dog, it does have an affinity with water and retrieving due to its ancestry as a sailor's dog! The Bichon Frise Grooming set offers the complete solution to grooming your dog at home. This set combines the popular Masterclip Pedigree Pro dog clipper, with a range of blades and grooming accessories that are recommended for use on a Bichon. A finishing comb, slicker brush and a pair of trimming scissors are included, along with 3 sets of high quality, German steel clipper blades. The number 10F blade cuts to 1.6mm and is ideal for short cut trimming around the face, feet and back end for sanitary purposes. Two longer cut blades for the body are also included, a 5 skip tooth which cuts to 6mm and a 4 skip tooth blade that will leave approximately 9mm of hair on your dog. Ideal blades for summer and winter clipping. There are two types of clipping blades available in most of the cutting depths, the F blade and the Skip Tooth. An F blade has a full row of teeth and gives a sharp finished cut that works well after using a skip tooth blade. The teeth on a skip tooth blade are spread further apart which allows a thick coat into the cutting head of the clipper, which makes this a great blade to use on a Bichon Frise.
