We have a 9 month old Dalmatian called Sofía, and we knew that their coats shed/molt all year round, however, what we didn't realise is that we will be using the vacuum cleaner almost every day!
After reading a few reviews, we bought this inexpensive product and what a difference it's made.
Please make sure you use this brush outside, the brush itself collect very little hair, however, as you circulate or brush your dog, all the loose hair will start to fall out or come to the surface on the dog, you'll then need to remove this hair by hand.
Theres still dog hair in our house, but an 80% reduction after purchasing the Zoom Groom Dog Brush, and that 20% we would say is a tiny sacrifice to make when you've got a beautiful Dalmatian!!!

What a lovely simple brush. I have a short-haired dog that sheds bucketloads and this is a great brush for pulling the loose hairs out. He doesn't like the feel of a "normal" bristle type brush but is quite happy to be brushed with this. It's not great for getting into tight areas like behind the ears as it's quite chunky but for broad sweeps it really gets a lot of hair off. Bit too knobbly for the tummy maybe too and not a brush if you want to de-tangle.
Warning - it doesn't hang on to the hair so it's best to use it outside or somewhere you don't mind cleaning up as the hair will simply fall to the floor. Saying that, I've brushed my dog on a carpet and then used the Zoom Groom on the carpet to gather the hairs into a ball and then picked the ball of hair up!
Some brushes are too big/difficult to hold but I find this just the right size and shape to hold (small hands). Pretty good value for money as I can't see it wearing out for a long time.

I have a Jack Russell, short haired smooth and two Maine Coon cats. My Jack Russell was shedding so much fur it looked like it was snowing in the house! It was driving me crazy. It seemed to be pouring out of her yet when I groomed her not much came out. Our vets recommended this and I bought it. When it arrived I really didn't think it looked up to the job but I could not believe how much fur came out of her without leaving her bald!
She loved it too. Evidently it massages the dog so they like it and get lots from the grooming session. She looked like she was smiling! And so much fur came out of her. Our vets said they do one especially for cats too but seeing as our two cats are both bigger than our dog, I thought I would try it on them. Same result! Let them sniff it first as they are a bit more particular. They turned their noses up but once I started brushing them with it, they went crazy. They kept moving position so I would do it in a different place. The cats didn't...
