We've been buying these for our dog now since he was a puppy. He's a very hyperactive Staffy who will chew through most normal dog toys in minutes, leather footballs might take him 5 minutes to destroy. These balls are great for him, whilst he can and does chew it they are so tough that he can't break it, the voices that come out of it keep him (and us)entertained whilst he plays with it! It does scare any guests that are here when it starts babbling away to itself but then that's another reason for our dog to find it and play with the ball and guest! The sounds eventually gives up the ghost but the last one I got him is still talking a month after he got it and for him that's excellent! When this one eventually stops talking I WILL be buying another one! Well worth the money! x

Excellent product & well priced. Kept my two dogs amused for ages. Phrase in childish American accent include, "Yeh, baby" (Austin Powers style), "Hello puppy", "Hey, don't do that!" and several more. Chased the ball all round the house and tried to get it off the shelf when not being used. Only really suitable for home and garden use, I wouldn't say it was a 'walkies' throw and fetch toy (all the dogs in the neighbourhood would want it and wet grass, mud etc might damage the workings) more of a boredom buster when at home. Quite robust plastic but I wouldn't allow a lot of chewing, definitely only use under supervision. Only one way to switch it off permanently - cut a little piece of plastic from an old credit/bank card to fit rectangular gap below speaker holes, bend it in two, poke one end in gap and fix other folded bit with strong tape onto ball, this allows it to be carried in a pocket when out without it babbling away!!

This has been a great purchase and keeps our puppy entertained for as long as we can stand the noise. We have a 5 month old labrador puppy who is very attention demanding. When presented with this toy, he will literally play with it for hours or until we take it away or it gets jammed under a piece of furniture. Be warned, the incessant manic giggling and squeaky voices this thing produces elicits an equally manic response from the puppy who chases it around continously, crashing into furniture and bouncing it off walls. It is constructed from a hard plastic and off sounds like it should break when smashed against tiled floors or brick walls, but so far it just keeps going. The ideal toy for when you are out of the house!
