I previously bought a metal enclosure for my guinea pigs. The enclosure was sound enough, however I found putting it together a pain in the arse. Lots of popping from the guinea pigs which to me means it's a success. The zip base at the bottom is easy wipe clean and the netting at the top is a zip on. I was well impressed with the side pockets and water bottle holder. The piggies had plenty of room to zip around.Took me 2 minutes to put it back in it's handy case (unlike with the metal enclosure) So if your a lazy sod like me that wants to provide a happy run around enviroment for your furries without the hassle, then this is a great buy. I have recently had a switch from electric to gas central heating in my home which was a massive job and brought this pen as I have an indoor cat who is very nervous so I didn't want him to have to be away from home. I put it together in advance - it was very easy to assemble - opened it out, put the bottom in and then zipped the top on - I found it very straightforward and it was assembled and filled with little ones things in about 8 minutes!
The quality of the pen is amazing - the doors on it are fully zippable and there is plenty of room inside it! I have a male 4 year old cat and he has enough room for his hooded large litter tray, his food/water bowl on his placemat, scratching post, small rug with his fleeces and his teddy bear and a few toys! The amount of room in the large one is amazing!! Defintely enough room for an adult cat!!!
