Hard & spikey
This item looked good for my puppy as she loves squeaky unusual toys. When it arrived I was shocked because of the hard rubber spikes on the side with the face on, which aren't apparent in the photo.
The pup tried it once but because of the hard spikes she ignores it.
DON'T waste your cash on this toy unless your dog has a mouth like a cement mixer and teeth like a T rex.
Reasonable for a 'stop gap' toy
I got this toy for my Labrador as it looked durable and she had other squeaky starfish toys before that she liked. The toughness of it was very appropriate for a Labrador. She loved it and it seemed to wear quite well. It's a pity that after about a week the squeak went. She does tend to give toys a bit of chewing but not excessively as I usually try to take it away from her to avoid her breaking them.
In my opinion she hadn't yet had long enough to break the squeak in the toy by over chewing and I presume it's slightly fragile squeaker is reflected in its low-ish price. It was harder to attract her attention with a toy that didn't squeak but saying that she carried on playing with it for about a year before she lost it in a bush so not a bad buy really. :)
In it's favour is it's reasonable weight so it flings quite far when thrown.
