A friend bought one of these for me. I, too, never leave a dog unattended in the car but this gadget proved something else to me - Air Conditioning in an estate car (unless a duel system is built in) does not reach the rear end!!
I had to go out with my dogs late one hot afternoon and when I opened the rear tailgate in my Ford Mondeo to put them in, the little nose was red and the beeper going. I left the whole car open for a while but had to eventually drive off. I did completely open all four windows and ran the AC at full blast till I was suffering frost bite, but when I got to my destination 20 mins later and opened up the tailgate, the nose was still red! My dogs were not uncomfortable thank goodness, but a longer journey would have put them in danger.
I am now fixing up a very good car fan that I own and will test it out without the dogs in the back...... I would not have known without this item.
Great Idea
Bought this for my mum ready for the summer because she leaves her dog in the car a lot. I think its a great idea, but not had chance to see if it does actually work. Quick delivery.
