I have a working Lab, she pulls on the lead so much I often ended up with blisters on my hand. The handle is great, no more blisters very comfortable to hold even when pulling - hard. However, after three months of being used for one hour a week whilst at agility class the elastic inside the nylon weaved cord snapped. The lead is strong enough to still be used but you don't have that built in shock absorber without the elastic. I may purchase a new one at a later date as I've not seen another lead with a similar handle but they are a bit expensive for a lead. The 40" length is also good for tall people well over 6 foot as smaller leads gave my partner a stiff back.
