I can now allow him out at night for his business without me being with him or putting him on a lead because of deer and foxes and he comes back immediately I use the vibrational buzz on number 2. 18 month old collieXwhippet who knew what she was supposed to do but started ignoring the return command when chasing birds - understandable but annoying - and just taking herself off to eat bird food and cats' breakfasts at the house of a very hospitable lady whose house backs onto the fields - understandable, annoying, embarrassing and potentially dangerous. The vibration worked well for about a fortnight but after that she was undeterred by the buzzing of the collar and I had to resort to the shock function which I hated the idea of using. Fortunately that's been so effective that I didn't have to use it much. She now avoids horses rather than "playing" with them, she responds quickly to commands and generally chooses not to misbehave.
