Great for older small dogs or puppies
This is a lightweight adjust sling, which is perfect for carrying older small dogs who struggle to keep up or puppies not yet fully vaccinated. It great at introducing puppies to the big wide world. Hammock design means pets are really comfortable. The pocket is far too small to put anything in it & the lining is plasticky so is easily washable but can get a little warm in the height of summer so a cool cloth solves this, likewise a warm blanket in winter helps too. If the company resigns this a larger pocket, interchangeable winter & summer liner & padded shoulder pad would make this perfect. I have made a shoulder pad out of a towel- I can now use this for longer walks.
Not suitable for small puppies
Although well made with good quality materials this Dog Sling was not suitable for my 3.5kg Miniature Schnauzer puppy. The top elasticated part was not adjustable and the sling was not very deep.
In the picture the sling looks as if the puppy is secure up to shoulder height but this isn't the case with a small breed puppy. I would have to hold her in the sling and so may as well hold her in my arms.
I am sure that it would be fine for a heavier puppy and would suggest that a minimum weight is given in the description as well as the maximum weight.
