Very Weak Build Quality

The electric shock is quite harsh! testing it on myself was quite a jolt, stronger than any other I have played with.
The dog collar's battery cover is held in place by two plastic catches, molded into the cover; these snapped off when we tried to replace the batteries thinking they were at fault when the unit ceased to work after our first walk with the dog. It was advertised as splash proof (water resistant), but one puddle later and the water ingress was sufficient to kill the device.
The hand held transmitter unit is also of poor quality. One of the battery connectors snapped off in the 9V battery negative conector! The aerial, as seen in the picture, being the traditional radio aerial type, I think would snap under the lightest of loads.
All in all, not a product I would recommend for controlling a dog in anything other than an indoor training setting. Certainly not a product for dogs running off...

Matching Receiver and Transmitter
1. Turn on the transmitter by the switch on right side of it.
2. Install the batteries for the receiver. The LED inside the receiver starts to keep flashing. Press vibration or shock button immediately after batteries are put into the receiver firmly. Then the LED will stop flashing and only light which indicates that the transmitter and the receiver have matched each other successfully.
3. If LED stops flashing on its own without press any button in the transmitter, take out the batteries. Wait for at least 10 seconds and try step 2 again.
4. Put the cover on the receiver firmly.
5. Attach the receiver to the collar.
