I stumbled across this product when looking for some microfibre towels to use on a family holiday. Not for my dog, I don't even have a dog - for me! Microfibre towels are commonly marketed as perfect for travel, the gym etc as they fold up smaller, absorb more water and dry more quickly than a conventional towel. I was all set to buy some aimed at students on gap years but they seemed really expensive, then I happened across these ones meant for pets at a much reduced price.
This one is a decent size to wrap around yourself when you get out of the shower and microfibre is microfibre is microfibre, surely? They feel different from normal fluffy cotton towels as they kind of grab the skin more, so when I use one I tend to use more of a wiping action than a rubbing back and forth as you might with a standard towel.
Ok it is a slightly 1970s shade of dark mustard and there is a label with a picture of a dog and cat attached (I keep meaning to unpick that!) but it...
This Product is great
I bought this product when I had one labrador who loves water. It is amazing. Their hair literally captures the water around their stomach area and they are soaking.
I use it dry my dogs off after a walk at the park and also when they play in the rain in the garden. I am actually coming back for 2 more. One for my second puppy and one
for the car.
They do tend to take a while to dry in winter (hence 4 stars) but I stick it in the dryer and it's ready to go again.
More useful than I thought, I'm converted.
I must admit I wasn't keen on the texture of this towel and put it to one side, however with all this torrential rain I was getting through normal towels very quickly. In some of the very heavy rain I was forced to put the dog hurriedly straight in the car after a wet walk and so grabbed this towel for her to lie on for the short journey home. This is where it came into it's own, it absorbed the wet very quickly and when I hung it up to dry that was quick too. Even drying off with normal towels on a day when it's not also pouring from the sky and then travelling a short distance with the dog lying on a dry towel would not do as good a job as this, so have just ordered two more.
