The top bit (to rest your finger on) came off almost instantly, and the holes are quite uncomfortable to hold if you're cutting for any length of time. They do the job though! I have a cocker spaniel and find them useful for thinning out the fur on his tail and feathering, as well as around his head, neck and feet/legs (I also use a Coat King 26 and normal hairdressing scissors, so it's only one tool in a dog's grooming kit). Would be nice if they were a bit more comfortable to use.
