I bought this bed for my 17 year old cat who craves warmth especially through the winter months.
I was expecting her to take some time to get used to the bed being in the lounge, cautious as she is with new things introduced into the home, but, to my astonishment within ten minutes of putting the bed down & plugging it in, she climbed in & claimed it! What a result! She is very happy with her new sleeping arrangements & although sadly my lap is no longer her primary bed, it does mean I am now allowed to stand-up every now and again without a leg full of claw marks for my audacity!
The dome has a removable heat-pad which means the bed itself collapses & can be machine-washed (If I can ever get her out of it.)
All-in-all a great product, perfect for the older cat like mine who just wants to enjoy her senior years sleeping in a comfy spot that's nice & warm.

After 3 weeks of walking around it and once the weather got colder, she ventured inside, snuggled down and has not left it since! She is old and slightly arthritic, so now that she is safely instlled in the new cat bed,I can turn off the central heating leaving her warm and comfortable in her new house.
