I had to 'encourage' my dogs interest in this by squeaking the squirrels and then treating her every time she brought me a squirrel. My lab soon got the hang of it and soon I was able to hide treats inside so she could play with it on her own sometimes. Now she Lab loves it! We've just got a Westie puppy and out came the toy...he adored it straight away and now they play with it together...usually my little boy runs off with the squirrels while his Lab sister chases him to get it. So much fun to watch and we've had it for well over a year now and no signs of any damage.
My advise would be to persevere and 'teach' your dog how to play with it if they don't show interest at first. Well worth the money.
My jack Russell loves this toy
Bought this for my jack Russell who is 4.5 months old and he had had endless fun with it. He keeps burying the squirrels round the garden and digging them up again. It is such fun to watch him messing round with them. Don't despair he has also had hours of fun just chilling and chewing on them and the little home they come equipped with so not just total destruction. Would recommend to anyone with a pup to buy this well worth the money.
