Great dog food - my Pug had allergies before trying this and was at the vet every week but now she is very healthy indeed and she loves eating it too!
starting off
as I mentioned in a previous review I have been feeding dogs Burns for many years now.As with the adult version of the food there are no GM ingredients in this product.Rather than the usual dry foods mini bites comes as a flake as opposed to the larger round nut. Water can be added to wean the dog to the food.I used this food with Sam my 6 year old Springer Spaniel for the first three months of his life and then progressed to the adult version with no transitional problems.The food is designed
to help the dog develop in size gradually rather than bulk up quickly which may cause bone and joint problems in later life.The dog is by no means undernourished by this as I can attest Sam is a large springer almost 28inches in height and has good muscular definition but most importantly full of life and vigour and in excellent health this can be attributed in part to his diet
I know that this food may not suit all but in my experience I can't speak highly enough of it.
solved the upset tum of our new puppy
We were given a very small quantity of food when we collected our pup from the breeder.It was a top brand but we struggled to find a supplier in the time we had.No problem,i simply bought another top brand but the puppy wouldn't eat it and when it did,it had an upset tummy as you could expect.Various internet reviews recommended Burns so i purchased a 2kg bag to test.The puppy still wasn't keen on the bites straight out of the bag but we solved this by mixing it with a very watery chicken gravy,chicken flavoured water would be a better description.The Burns was eaten and the bowl licked clean and the tummy settled down over a few days.Great value,no colourings or chemical additives,we purchased a 7.5kg bag with confidence.Why 4 stars and not 5? We still have to mix the bites with the chicken flavoured water so there is still room for improvement from Burns.Still we would recommend this food without hesitation.
