I have a puppy and an older dog. When feeding them together, the older dog thrust her nose into her bowl and shoved it under the puppy, behind the puppy and around the kitchen floor. That bowl was not, as you may have guessed, non-slip.
So, tired of falling over her bowl in all manner of places, worried the puppy might get an eating complex, we plumped for this wonderful non slip dog bowl.
What may not be apparent is that the bowl comes apart. The coloured part with the bone design (rather swish by the way) stays on the floor and the inner silver bowl lifts out easily to a work surface where you can fill up with food, moisten, or do whatever it takes to get the pet food ready. Once that is all done, the bowl goes right back in the coloured part, nice and neat, and it STAYS PUT.
Yes, ther eis a little clanking if the dog gets over enthusiastic when eating (mine is a trash can on paws, so does this) but it is well worth a bit of noise just to never...

Bought these for our springer spaniel for his christmas!!
They are really lovely looking bowls - they don't tip or slide and as mentioned before the actual bowl just comes out for cleaning - all good!
On the downside they really are quite small (don't recall seeing the 0.45 ltr info when I ordered them, which would have been useful!!) - our springer is on the small side and the bowl only holds half of his dried food for the day (he grazes on his food during the day rather than meals at set times) - and similarly they do not hold enough water for even half a day - have had to re-fill the water bowl 4 times - would only recommend these bowls for small dogs or puppies - real shame as I'll need to go and find news bowls again!

This is a really posh dog bowl!
It is a nice dark red enamel and the inner removable bowl is a nice weighty stainless steel. This, coupled with the base rubber ring, makes it nice and stable. I suppose a real gobbly dog could make it move, but I do not feel this detracts at all from this quality item. Even the silver bone decal on the front is affixed with a small nut and bolt rather than glued on. It should only need a swish round to clean and I would not put it in a dishwasher. I think it would in time scratch it like these machines do with glasses.
