Have used this for over a year on our Jack Russell Terrier's tartar build-up and it really does work... Needs to be used daily, (night-time before bed) to reduce tartar formation, (one small globule) but once the tartar is reduced, just a "maintenance" schedule every 3/4 is usually all that is needed. Main plus points, are, that it is safe to use with natural ingredients and both my wife and I use the human equivalent. Perhaps the only minor 'downside', is, that probably, most dogs will not like the peppermint, (or salmon) taste... Better, (IMO) than the risk of an-aesthetic during a veterinary descale though and the 118ml amount in the container lasts a good while too.

I was recommended this for my lurcher after commenting on an elderly (11 year old) german shepherds AMAZING teeth in the park. It literally looked like the dentures dogs in the dentastix advert. The man like me said his dog would not eat dry food and enjoyed table scraps etc and had never had his teeth cleaned by a vet, but he used Petzlife regularly.
Sadly my dog cant stand the mint flavour and staggered around gagging after i used it. She was so upset i haven't had the heart to try again. I tried a tiny bit of polo on her lips and she was the same so i'm sure its the taste and nothing else. I would recommend trying your dog with something minty first before you buy it. I think it comes in another flavour although this wasnt available on amazon.

This product was recommended to me by a friend who regularly attends dog shows and buys and tries any new teeth cleaning products that come on to the market most of which are not very good in her opinion apart from this one!! She gave it 5 stars and now so am I after using in on my miniature Yorkie who has problem teeth and colitis.
