Not bad for young pups
It was great to find the Arden Grange Weaning Puppy Dog Food in a shop, as impossible to find the equivalent from Royal Canin. I started my pups on the Arden Grange at 4 weeks +1 day, and knew from feedback sites that it would take a little while to 'mush'. At the moment, the pups are having scrambled eggs for breakfast, and whilst making this, I make up a very diluted mix of puppy milk (1 1/2 scoop powder to 6ml of boiling water). I then pour most (but not all) of this mix over half a scoop (about 1/4 cup) of the Arden Grange. Once egg feed is over, and I'm cleaning up, I then mix up the Arden Grange and mash it a little, and add the remainder of the milk. I then cover this so it's ready for lunch feed (and I do the same at lunch, for the evening feed). I heat it in the microwave for 10secs, and mix really really well (and check it's not too hot). Then I work with my litter of 4 Tibetan Terrier puppies to feed them (water bowl available too). They're still learning to lap water, but...
Its ok
I am happy with the ingredients of this food, and the dogs are happy to eat it, but I like to moisten my food down, and this particular food is very dificult to soften. Not good if you are wanting to mash it up for young pups. I tried one of my 6 month old pups with it and it didn;t agree with her. I am sure it will be fine for other dogs and pups, but not my choice,
