Excellent and inexpensive alternative to multiple blades
I've been using these combs to clip my toy poodle for several years now. They fit over standard clip on/off blades as used in Oster, Andis and similar clippers (which means they may not fit variable blade clippers and trimmers - check before buying), and make it much easier for amateur groomers like me to achieve a reasonable finish. It is important to make sure the coat is clean and free of knots and tangles before starting - the combs won't cope with mats. If the coat is long, starting with a bigger comb and working down the sizes to get the effect you want is safer than trying to take it all off at once! I use a 10 blade on my dog's nose, toes, tail and tummy, then a short comb for the back and chest, and a longer one for the legs. That leaves minimal scissoring to tidy any uneven bits, merge the lengths together, and finish her tail and head. Much, much quicker than scissoring, and - given my very inexpert scissoring - much more reliable results. Very highly recommended!
