Bought this after reading previous reviews, thought it would last a reasonable amount of time. I had not accounted for the ability of a 1 year old Viszla and the skill she has for destroying any toy placed in front of her, it lasted 10 minutes before the stuffing was exposed. Now it is on top of a book shelf awaiting repair, not a good toy for any dog other than a soft mouthed one. Don't waste your money.
good quality, durable soft toy ... for dogs
My 8 month old KG pup loves soft toys but destroys them all to quickly ... the popular ' honking pheasant/duck/whatever ' for example is clearly poor quality (and feels it) and lasted all of ten minutes before honking no more and falling apart. This squeaking vulture on the other hand is still going strong after 2 or 3 months of daily abuse including some hard core tugs of war and the odd session of try and gnaw the squeak out. It felt like a quality product straight away and has proven to be so. It sounds like the only poor review (at time of writing) has not given it a chance and simply made assumptions. Credit where credit is due ... if you have a dog that loves soft toys then this is surely one of the best and is excellent value. I can also recommend the big 'no stuffing ' ones from Orvis, also top quality but they don't come cheap.
