I purchased this product as my Golden Retreiver is starting to show a reluctance to jump in the car. It is of good quality and it is non slip. The only problem is that it is too short when placed against the back bumper of our Fabia Estate the slope is too great and she will not use it. It may be fine on some other cars but not for ours. I suggest measuring the incline of your car before purchase.
Not as practical as I'd hoped
I had been wanting to get something like this for a while, primarily for for my miniature dachshund to reach my bed independently. I spent quite a while researching the various options before settling on this one and then made double-double sure that the measurements etc would be applicable for the bed, which seemed to be the case.
However when it arrived I encountered 2 problems, the first being that the measurements didn't seem to work out the way they should have (not sure if the ones stated here on Amazon are different to those of this ramp, or if the error was me - but the ramp was not tall enough for the bed in question without being at an unreasonably steep angle). And the second problem was that my dog took an instant dislike to the ramp and despite loads of coaxing with rewards etc, was very reluctant to set foot on it at all.
I'm sure others will find this ramp to be what they are looking for but sadly mine has had to go back to Amazon and I am now...
Excellent compact dog ramp
We have had this now, for nearly a year.
And can honestly say it is very useful.
We have a chocolate Labrador and our vehicles
is a X-Trail.
Our dog has no trouble getting in or out the
vehicle using the ramp, it is a little steep,
but it is a bifold and light.
You can get longer but they are triple fold,
bulky and heavy.
We like it as it easy to stow away and does not
take a lot of room. It also prevents our dog
doing any damaged to the vehicle.
When our four year old lab gets to the stage
where he is not so energetic or health reason
We'll probably get the longer version.
