This is the second one my dog has had, he loves them. The first one lasted a long time, so i brought another for him. He will spend hours chewing at it and playing with it. I bought a Nylabone (the size down from this one) for my Rottweiler a year ago for Christmas. He's very well behaved and only destroys his own toys. But he does that with a Vengeance! Most things last about 5 minutes, if that. Nothing squeeks anymore after 2 minutes.
But this bone has managed a WHOLE YEAR! And not only that, but our dog chews it every single day. He really gives it a good go, and sure, little bits come off eventually but only tiny scrapings that are harmless and just get passed through or hoovered up.
The bone starts to look a bit like a sharpened pencil after a while, but the one knuckle only came off after 14 months of continuous abuse. The other is still firmly attached to the bone.
This year we decided to get him a new one, but only really because we feel this is the only rottie-present that is true value for money.
He still plays with and chews his old one, but the new one is definately a big hit again.
