We live in the country surrounded by sheep, lambs and poultry and Ruby has managed to escape and kill a few hens. To begin with the electronic fence acted as a deterrent but as she grew braver she located herself closer and closer to the boundary until the collar bleeped almost constantly. I understood from the device manual that the bleeping acted as a deterrent and that she would only receive the shock when she crossed the boundary however on inspection of Ruby's neck I was absolutely horrified to find that the prongs of the electronic collar had burned holes into her skin all the way around the...
