Easy to refill/clean and my pets love it
I have 2 big dogs and 2 cats who between them go through a lot of water each day. I was forever filling up their water bowl. One of the dogs is also a very messy drinker and more water ended up on the floor than in his mouth.
This fountain hold 6 litres which lasts a while and can be topped up just by pouring a jug of water directly into it - no need to carry it over to the sink. I usually top it up every evening and them empty it out once a week to clean it. I put the bowl and other plastic parts in the dishwasher and just rinse the filter by hand (the filter has been washed in this way a few times and doesn't appear to need replacing yet).
All four of my pets like drinking from it, especially the dogs and it's big enough for them to drink from together. The cats were a bit cautious at first, but they both use it quite happily now. The "messy drinker" still makes a mess unfortunately! But it's not quite as bad as with a regular bowl.

We bought the Dogit drinking fountain for our labrador dog because he has a problem when drinking from ordinary bowls, the water goes onto his lungs instead of down his throat.
We have consulted our vet about this and was told he has a problem with coordination.
Since buying this drinking fountain he has not been able to drink too much water in one go and has not had as much problem with coughing after drinking. We have put something under the bowl to raise it up from the floor a bit more because this seems to be better for him. The amount of water the fountain holds is more than other drinking fountains we have looked at and only needs topping up occasionally. Cleaning the fountain is very easy, once a week we empty the fountain and take it apart to clean it, the filter does its job and again is very easy to clean just wash it through under the tap. Great Product
My dog is one of the most fussy and moody dogs I have ever known. So it took ages to decide to buy this but I am so glad I did.
He drinks more from this and less from mucky water. The only problem is you have to buy the filters else where. Come on Amazon, where's the one stop for everything? :)
