Handy but not the most practical crate
I picked this crate as it was the largest I could fit in my Vauxhall Zafira for my two Black Labradors. It has some practical and quality drawbacks: It cannot be collapsed for storage when not in car. It is noisey, especially when left in car empty. Difficult to man-handle in and out of house and car due to its size, it takes 2 people to carry and will not fit through some narrower door frames! It has a slope at the door end to cater for sloping hatch doors but not at rear to cater for sloping rear seats (which all cars have), consequently I cannot carry passengers in rear seats when crate fitted. Unfortunately this means I can only carry one passenger when transporting the dogs, which has lead to many logistical problems. The two doors and divider are a great benefit when trying to get 2 dogs in and out, but unfortunately the divider has a poor fitting design which lead to it being pulled out of its fitting on its first use (I had to make a reinforcment addition).
This cage is not safe
This dog cage arrived in good time. Looked good on first impressions after putting it in the back of my car it rattles & squeaks drives me mad? The bad thing is after putting my jack russel into the cage (quite a lively dog this is why I bought a cage) after a few miles I heard a noise stopped @ noticed that the side rail had come out of the slot in the side & was poking in towards the inside this could have been dangerous I have since modified the cage being a machanic. This is a poor design that could have been a really nice cage with just a bit more thought my opinion is this is fine for a quiet well behaved dog but then you would not need a cage? & as long as you are deaf?
