Beyond Expectations
I am very pleased with this as I thought this water bowl wasnt going to be used but I have left it in the garden for my 2 cats and they definitely use it especially in the hot weather. Took a while to figure out how to put the water in without the water pouring out (filled it from the bottom and fitted the base bowl over the bottom and turned over). I would have liked to choose what colour too! It serves its purpose.
Great item
This works fine for me. I filled it up from the hole in the bottom (obviously with the lid on) and fitted the bottom part on tightly. Then turned it upside down slowly. The right amount of water comes out. I don't think the kitten drinks water yet though, she's still dependent on kitten milk, but I'm sure she will use it in the years to come!
Absolute rubbish, doesn't work
I bought this water feeder for my two kittens as I wanted to make sure they would have enough water while I was at work during the day. I was a bit dubious about the quality due to the price but since it had good reviews I took the gamble.
Unfortunately, this product just does not work. The idea is that a vacuum is formed inside the container when the water is added and then turned upside down. Unfortunately, this relies on the plastic lid forming an air tight seal and in the case of the product I bought, this was not the case. It seemed to work for a couple of days but when the water level in the container decreased to about half way, the seal failed and water splashed all over the floor. This makes sense as the larger the headspace in the container, the larger the strain on the seal to maintain the vacuum. I refilled the container to try again but the same thing happened a couple of days later.
