Bought these as my 9mth old collie/retriever cross lives to play and loves to chase anything and everything plus she has a lot more energy than me.
They arrived quickly, but when we used them they did not become 'everlasting' and when we tried to keep them in the air to dry they tended to blow away. We used them outside, as they are very sticky and I didn't want to spend hours cleaning the floor, and I have to admit it is January and they don't work as well in the cold / damp - so will try again in the summer.
So environmental conditions most likely to blame and may be the reason she was not that interested in them (to my surprise), but my main complaint is the 'stickiness' of the bubbles, several of them landed on her and have set like glue in her fur! I have tried brushing and combing with little success, so she has had a bath and after much scrubbing we removed most of it (though a couple had to be cut out).
Maybe better for short haired dogs?
Great fun with a caveat
I have two pointers who love this stuff. The bubbles produced seem much tougher than those from children's bubble toys and do not burst when they land.
Both dogs energetically snap at the bubbles as they float through the air and then scrable round in circles hoovering up all the smaller bubbles that have made it to the floor. Highly reccomended.
Now for the caveat, my vet tells me that a lot of breads can damage their hips if encouraged to repeatedly jump up to grab something. Jumping straight up (as opposed to over something) means the dog lands on just it's back legs and at an awkward angle. I just keep the bubbles low enough for the dogs to grab them without jumping and everyone's happy.
My puppies love it
A really fun game to play with the puppies, kept them entertained for ages. Only down side is size of the bottle, not very big. and the solution is a nightmare to get out of their coats once its dried.
