Brilliant for stopping a dog from pulling
I have worked for ages trying to train my 11 month old Labrador not to pull on her lead. Despite no end of patience and repetition on my part she just doesn't seem to 'get' it, especially when confronted with the choice between walking by my side or having her nose on the ground pulling towards the next smell.
A couple of months ago I finally accepted that I might need a little extra help in the form of some kind of collar / lead device. I initially bought a halti but neither of us got on that well with it. It did stop her pulling but she hated it and kept rubbing her paws trying to remove it. I didn't like how it would ride up her nose and rest right under her eyes - way too close for comfort.

bought this for my 6 month rodesian ridgeback pup as advised by trainer from puppy classes. My boy's 30kg and still has some way to go till he's fully grown. Had him on a half choke and chain lead but he didn't really respond to this, he can be stubborn! Whilst he still pulls and desperately attempts to pull the nose band off his face whilst walking, it takes barely any muscle from me to prevent him from doing so (i'm 5ft 2 and weigh 50kg). He has worked out how to remove it but i find that asking him to hold his head up and shortening the lead has helped. He is far easier to control and so far i've had no more embarrassing incidents of being pulled off my feet! The Gencon can be a bit tricky initally to put on, in terms of getting it the right way round but like most things the more you use it the easier it'll get. My pup doesn't mind it so much now, he's more responsive, walking to heel better and pulling has decreased. For such a light and delicate looking product what it can...

Try the GENCON All-in-1. They will NOT pull up into your dogs eyes. They consist of two loops, one goes over the nose, the other containing the lead or ring(s) round the neck. When the dog pulls they both tighten, restricting the whole head, the Dog backs off from the restriction, in other words STOPS PULLING! The action is from the side of the head and is very gentle, it does not pull your dogs head round. Make sure the All-in-1 or Headcollar is fitted correctly both loops fitting snugly, not tight, not slack and that it is slackening when the pressure is taken off the lead Only gentle pressure is needed - DO NOT JERK Everything is made of good quality fabric to our own specification, thicker tape, making it easier to handle, gentle on the dog while still remaining flexible. They are all completely washable, which will get rid of all the grit and dirt, keeping it soft and comfortable on your dog. Just a note - The fabric of the Gencons will STRETCH to twice its length BEFORE breaking. They will snap however, if your dog chews part way through the lead.
