THis is a fantastic thing! We bought it to use with my little puppy to get him used to my bike, but it has had lots more use. We used it as a carrycot until he was fully innoculated and could walk when out and about. He is really happy in it, and used to enjoy peeping out at the world when we were shopping or at friends' houses. It is also used as a car travelling hox - I strap the box to the seatbelt through the loops then put him in the box and strap him in.
It is really good on the bike as it fixes on quickly and easily, and can be swapped from my bike to my partner's when I get tired! Muffin loves sitting in it and watching the world go by as we travel along. The pockets on the bag are great because they hold his water bottle and bits and pieces.
The only thing that I see as a downside is that it is pretty small, and I think Muffin will grow too big for it (he will eventually be about the size of a Westie). So bear that in mind - I would say it is perfect for a Yorkie...

I've only just purchased this item so will write additional comments later if needed. But the item arrived 20 minutes ago and I have just finished constructed it. I agree that the instructions on the box do suck. But it does all fit together and WILL fit on to any bike as far as I can see. The only way it wouldn't, is if the bike in question is a small framed bike with a short stem/headset and therefore caused the base of the carrier to interfere with the front wheel. Having said that, I don't feel that this would be the case with 99% of adult bikes. So if I was to make 'corrections' to how the assembly and fitting instructions read on the box, I would state:
-The 'included frame' refers to a looped piece of metal with rubber on one end. You slide in the other end of this frame into a tight fitting central 'sleeve' on the under side of the carrier. Dog - box bike carrier - good fun
After buying a bike especially so that I could exercise I wanted to find a carrier so that I could take my dog with me. She is a mini daxi and is not in to long walks so I thought taking her with me on a bike meant I could get the exercise and could stop off also to walk her as well. Having exhausted bike shops to find a basket suitable (which I couldn't find)I purchased the Trixie front dog carrier. Once I had the dog in and attached to the safety harness we set off, she was absolutely fine in it and the straps and brackets worked perfectly. My dog is small and weighs 4 kilo so her weight keeps the carrier relatively stable, but you do need to keep a firm grip of the handlebars so as to keep them straight. I think if your dog was heavier you would be better with a rear carrier as it does produce some weight up front even with a small dog. My little one was quite happy after about 5 minutes of getting used to it and was surveying the scenery from her perch. I wouldn't recommend...
