Not what I expected
I had expected this to actually roll, but it doesn't because it has a flat top and bottom. Maybe it would roll on carpet, but I have wood floors which means it just slides around whenever my dog goes to play with it (which is very rare). It would have been nice to have known in advance what this was made from (hard plastic) as, judging from the picture, I had assumed that it had a rubber outside. If you have a carpet then you may be lucky enough to find that your dog can roll it, though you may want to keep it away from your skirting boards as it is quite heavy. The hole where treats are dispensed is very small, I had assumed that the toy unscrews but instead you have to feed treats into the hole and the size of the hole meant that the only 'treats' that would fit were complete dry food.
All in all, a waste of money for me, no good on wood or laminate (or any other hard surface), but it may be better on thick carpet.

Another Great Activity Toy
Whilst this looks simple and easy, the fact that it is heavily weighted, makes it more of a challenge for your canine friend.
My two dogs are quite adept with their other activity toys, but both of them are finding this one a bit harder work. Maisy, the small Border Collie X seemed to get quite tired! She mainly used her paw to it. Amber the bigger Mongrel, was also a bit more challenged than with the other feeders we have. No bad thing, as it slowed down the eating and made them think a bit more.
The entry hole for the food is not that big, so it will depend on the brand of kibble you buy whether or not it will go through the hole! It does not unscrew in half for filling. It is one moulded unit. It is no good forcing the kibble in through the hole, as the poor dog will not be able to get it out. The food has to be able to drop out whilst being rolled.
This activity toy is well made and of a plastic that does not make a lot of noise when knocked into...

To start with, the hole was too small to put any treats inside. I have a labrador puppy so her treats were not the tiny cat-sized ones but slightly larger, so I had to ream out the hole a bit with a sharp knife! Now she loves it and rolls it happily around while I can relax with a cuppa without being pestered to play all the time! If the hole had been bigger or adjustable it would probably have received 5 stars.
